OM System Tough TG Series Accessories
1 Introduction
The extensive range of accessories available for the OM System TG series cameras is what really sets them apart from other outdoor cameras. This review article and the accompanying YouTube video are intended to help you making an educated buying decision.
2 Filter and Accessory Adapter CLA-TO1
The CLA-T01 allows the use of 40.5mm lens filters as well as mounting various conversion lenses.
Additionally, the CLA-T01 will reduce susceptibility to lens flare greatly, much like a lens hood.
The original CLA-T01 is made out of lightweight plastic, third party versions are also available as full metal. I recommend using only the original adapter, which features predetermined breaking points. Third party adapters will damage the camera’s bayonet when they take a strong enough hit.

3 Lens Barrier LB-T01
The LB-T01 is a manual iris lens cover which protects the front lens cover from dust and moisture.
Operation is straightforward and especially for street photography or when using a TG-series camera as an everyday carry, this one is definitely worth getting.
The build quality of the OEM LB-T01 is very good and should guarantee a long product life.
4 Light Guide LG-1
To capitalize on the incredible close focusing capabilities of a TG series camera, the LG-1 is a valuable accessory. It allows the camera’s built-in LED to illuminate subjects at distances of 1 to 10cm. Permanent illumination for macro video is possible.
High quality plastics ensure durability and color accuracy.
Note that the light output is far weaker than what the flash diffuser FD-1 is able to provide.
5 Flash Diffuser FD-1
Intended for working distances from 2 to 30cm, the FD-1 provides very natural illumination of any close-up subject, as it features an off-center diffusion window in the top left corner (from the photographer’s perspective).

With two light volume settings, the flash output can be reduced to avoid overexpose, should the lighting situation require that.

The accessory itself is depth proof up until 15m. Overall, the build quality is very good. It should be noted though, that the white reflective surface is paint, which can scratch if handled carelessly.
The FD-1 also doubles as a very effective lens hood.
6 Battery Charger UC-92
The UC-92 is a high quality battery charger for Olympus / OM System LI-90B/LI-92B batteries used for TG series cameras.
With a standard USB plug, charging from a power bank or any mobile phone charger as well as using an USB port on a laptop is effortless.
In my opinion one of the must-have accessories and I would definitely recommend getting the original OM System UC-92, as it is very compact, durable and overall a pleasure to use.
Bonus: You can store one battery in the charger when on the go by flipping it around to avoid discharging.
